Hello there 👋

In 2014 I started my undergraduate degree planning to major in mathematics. A requirement of my program was to take an introduction to computer science course. I wrote my first “hello world“ app and was hooked. Four years later I graduated with a double-major in both mathematics and computer science.

Nearly a decade afterwards and a master's in computer science later, I spend my days as a software engineer with Amazon's Payment Products team, working with all kinds of innovated and customer-obsessed individuals.

Spare time is short to come by, but when I can find it I enjoy exploring Vancouver and the rest of the province with my girlfriend. I can also be spotted cycling around the city, paddling boarding, or on the rugby pitch. 🚵‍♂️🏄 🏉

    Supported servicing features for US Amazon's private-label credit card. Collaborated across Amazon teams to provide financial offers to customers, such as Amazon Day and No-Rush shipping options to support efforts to improve delivery network capacity and reduce emissions.

    Supported monitoring and data analysis of infectious diseases such as COVID-19. Assisted in development of full-stack web applications which allowed lab technicians to enter, filter, and visualize biometric data.

    Study computational geometry, artificial intelligence, human-computer interaction, amongst other topics. Assisted with teaching undergraduate courses hosting office hours, grading, exams, homework, and tutorials. Thesis pertained to online algorithms and path finding.

    Honours degree double majoring in mathematics and computer science Assisted teaching introduction to statistics courses by leading tutorials, grading assignments, and generating homeworks. Studied theory of generalized functions and natural language processing techniques for Twitter user location prediction.

A few years ago I realized I was spending too much time online - mainly social media - and decide to cut back. I successfully managed to curve my screen time but this resulted in a habit of not responding to messages and alerts in a timely manner.
